Welcome back!

In order to start my keto journey, I had to do some preliminary planning before my first keto week began. I read articles about keto, discussed some more tips and tricks with my aunt, read and watched recipes, and got myself ready and pumped for the week.

First things first, I had to purge all the groceries I couldn't eat. I went through my fridge, freezer, and pantry and gave away all the food items that didn't satisfy keto. From previous experience, I felt this was necessary. If you are following a diet with certain requirements, it is better to not have products that will tempt you to cheat nor satisfy your healthy habits. In addition, if keto is a lifestyle diet as claimed, that means I would always be on it so there will be no need for these unhealthy products to be in my life anymore.

After purging, the next and final step before my week began was to stock up on groceries. I went to Trader Joe's and looked for keto friendly items. I scanned the isles, picked up products that looked appealing, read nutritional labels, and if it had low carbs, I added it to my cart. *If you're wondering how to read a nutritional label to see if it's keto friendly, leave a comment below and I will make sure to get back to you or post a blog on it.*

Here are a few items I bought from my first keto trip to Trader Joe's.

Don't forget to follow up with the blog to see how my first compete week of Keto went!! As always, make sure to follow me, @howtotraderjoes, on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook for updates on everything Trader Joe's.
