Why Keto?

I have always been a curvy, thicker woman. Although I worked out daily, my freshman year of college still came with freshman 15. Sadly, after this extra 15 pounds came quarantine, which just meant even more weight gain...With daily workouts, but little to no results in weight loss, I decided it was time for a change. Like they say, it all starts in the kitchen, so this is where I decided to focus.
Over the years I have tried several different diets, which would help me lose weight here and there, but then I would just gain it back. I was tired and frustrated of these fad diets where I couldn't keep off the weight I lost. I have an aunt who has been doing Keto for years and told me all about how it was a lifestyle diet rather than a temporary diet. With this and the fact that she has not only been able to lose weight, but keep it off, I was inspired to dive into the Keto Diet. I was looking forward to a healthier lifestyle, but also losing weight at the same time. Although I didn't know much about the keto diet previously, except for the fact that it was low-carb and high-fat, since my aunt does it, I was able to quickly learn the basics to jumpstart my journey.
